"간단한 표현과 기능성을 취한 가구가 아름다운 집을 만든다". 스칸디나비아 전통 가구 브랜드 WOUD의 설립자 미아(Mia)와 토벤 코이드(Torben Koed)는 30년간 축적한 자신들의 경험을 새 프로젝트에 녹여내기 위해, 질 좋은 소재와 디테일까지 생산 전 과정에 심혈을 기울였다. '새롭게 탄생한 오리지널 브랜드'를 창조하고자 하는 추진력을 바탕으로, 두 사람은 '내일의 디자이너'들이 무엇을 생각해 낼 수 있을지 탐구하기 시작했다. 전통 가구를 현대 디자인의 시대로 옮겨가는 과정에는 신진 디자이너들과 기성 작가들의 집합체가 필요했다. 미아와 토벤은 일본, 캐나다 등의 전 세계 디자이너들과 함께 스칸디나비아의 심플함에 대한 현대적 해석을 공유하려는 목표를 세우고 실행에 옮겼다. 새로운 디자인 브랜드를 설립하려는 생각과 꿈은 그렇게 2014년 이전부터 계속되어 왔다. 작은 방에서 시작된 커다란 아이디어들은 결국 2015년 가구 브랜드 WOUD의 론칭과 함께 현실이 되었다. WOUD는 품질, 단순성, 정직성에 관심을 가지고 시대를 초월한 디자인을 창조한다. '사용자'를 위해 만들어지고 '사용'을 위해 만들어진 디자인을 목표로, 폭넓은 스칸디나비아 가구와 가정용 액세서리를 전 세계 집안으로 불러들이고 있다. "우리 문 밖의 세상은 지금 이대로도 충분히 복잡해요. 가정은 편안함과 안녕을 위한 공간이어야 합니다" WOUD는 브랜드 철학처럼 진정한 휴식을 취할 수 있는 현대적 디자인을 계속해서 창조하고 있다.

어레이(Array) 사이드보드 시리즈는 현대 건축에서 볼 수 있는 나무 슬레이트 클래딩에서 영감을 받았다. 기하학적 형태와 수평 슬랫으로 그 깊이에서 빛과 그림자를 모두 잡아내는 강력한 시각적 효과를 낸다. 날렵한 다리가 사이드보드를 땅에서 들어올려 위쪽의 단단한 나무 수납장과 아래쪽의 얇은 금속 구조 사이 우아한 대조를 이룬다. 부드럽게 닫히는 도어는 캐비닛을 더욱 기능적이고 섬세하게 만든다.

With its simple wooden structure and elegant joints, the Pause chair from Woud is an embodiment of modern Nordic design. Finnish designer Kasper Nyman has created the Danish brand a beautiful oak chair that features clean lines and a broad, rectangular backrest. Pause is made of solid oak and oak veneer and available in white-pigmented lacquer and colourful painted finishes. Pair the chair with a desk or dining table or place it in the hallway as a place to rest.

레벨 데이베드(LEVEL DAYBED)는 가정과 오피스 환경에서 유연하게 사용 가능한 베드의 기능을 강조하는 이름이다. 부드러운 가죽과 튼튼한 나무 구성요소는 심플한 전체 디자인의 품질을 높인다. 두 발을 땅에 붙이고 휴식을 취할 수 있으며, 편안함이나 장식을 위해 매트리스에 가죽 베개를 추가할 수 있다.

WOUD

Verde Mirror is a multifunctional design with smooth curves and clean lines. With inspiration from metal furniture from the 1950s, the design combines simple shapes with a functional perspective. The mirror is surprisingly versatile intended for various rooms as the hallway or bedroom. A small shelf with cuts for hangers is hidden behind the mirror designed to integrate plants and flowers in your home and to hang your clothes on each side. Use the hooped frame to hang clothes or scarves.

The Gap pendant combines a raw outer shell made from powder-coated metal with a feminine brass coloured inner creating a warm and cosy glow. The sleek gap in the shape lets light escape and create a graphical reflection with a golden glow from the inside.
